Indianapolis "Smile Doctor" Selects Smile Award Recipients to Give Back a Smile to Victims of Domestic Violence
INDIANAPOLIS-With October being National Domestic Abuse Month, Indianapolis cosmetic dentist George Kirtley, DDS, has created a first-ever local awards program - "Indy Sensational Smiles" - to not only highlight some of Indy's most beautiful smiles, but also to work toward restoring the smiles of those who have fallen victim to domestic violence.
Kirtley will offer the complimentary dental services to The Julian Center - an Indianapolis shelter for domestic violence victims and their families and counseling center for women in crisis. Each of the five Sensational Smile winners have agreed to participate so one domestic violence victim, in their name, can receive some form of free cosmetic dentistry. One out of the five domestic violence victims -the most severely in need - will get a complete cosmetic restoration.
Dr. Kirtley is an expert on smiles. From his list of must-see smiles, he narrowed his favorites down to five Indianapolis community members who will each receive the first "Indy Sensational Smile Award."
The five winners (in no particular order) are as follows:

- Lacy Mervine - Mrs. Indiana 2002
- Ronald Hunter - Founder, Chairman & CEO of Standard Management Corporation
- Keisha Saddler - PaceMate, NBA Indiana Pacers cheering squad.
- Billie Jo Krescher - Champs Americana Restaurant
